I had a big 8 trot behind my stand this afternoon at 3:30 grunting the hole way....  I think its game on!

Good luck, shoot straight  and God bless,

No wind this morn for the first two hours, unless you count puffs from various directions.  I really dislike that and at times refuse to hunt a dead wind. Right now you got to be somewhere so I went to a stand between edge of beanfield and creek.  Sure nuff a doe with an 8 following her  came in and were nervous.  So With the 8 being marginal on what I want, I just took pics..

20 minutes later the droptine showed up at 25 yds and I didn't shoot again with brush and him walking it just didn't add up for me..  He was bigger than I thought Saturday...

I went back to the same stsnd as last night's encounter...  got to the stand  about 1 hour before sun up, reach for my string to tie off the bow, hear something walking towards me, I freeze.  Its the buck from the night before!!!  He comes to about 10 yards, looks at me, then walks off.  There was just enough moonlight to tell he was an impressive sized buck and impressive head gear as well!

Headed back to that tree in a few!

Good luck everyone!

i was about to freeze to death this morning, didnt feel that bad when i stepped outside to leave. i was about to climb down and head to the truck to warm up when a young doe showed up behind me. so i had to wait her out. 18 steps from tree.

blood was gushing as she took off. (treesharks)

Nice going 30!
When a man shoots with a bow it is own vigor of body that drives the arrow,  his own mind controls the missile's flight......His trained muscles and toughened thews have done the work

Bucks are definitely out and about. Had a real good one yesterday at 45 yards but he worked away from me. Also had some others in range but not quite what I was looking for. This guy made it to 10 feet, but he got a free pass.

That’s the smaller of the two that got a free pass. I didn’t get a pic of the other one but he was a nice deer.

i got to watch this big ten breed a doe today , he was with her all day.
i snuck in to a hundred yds. of them just after noon and burrowed in next to a big log to watch and hope he would move closer, never did!
several other smaller bucks around hoping and waiting. the big boy had to take a little cat nap afterwards. but stayed with her for round two.
i know where il be at tomorrow  :goldtooth:
i was 20 yds of him two days ago when he was with another doe, and she got up and moved, so i moved in. she came back before i could get to the tree i had picked out and bedded down 15 yds. from me. and big boy was coming straight at me, and i was caught out in the open

We are still seeing a lot of does with their button buck fawns with them???  Usually the button bucks are all weaned by Halloween!   Been a strange year for sure.
Good luck, shoot straight and God bless!
