Hey Guys - As Kenny mentioned, my dad and I were the father and son team down at the lease this past week. The trip was great however bitter sweet as Chad Holm was greatly missed! Chad invited me on this hunt last year and I know he was looking down upon us this past week. I hunted with my lucky Holm Made Osprey all week, that Chad had made for me a few years back.
Overall, the hunting was great, temps were cold, and we had an ice storm come through Tuesday. Wednesday morning, about a half hour after shooting light, my dad shot a nice buck! He ended up hitting it a bit back, so we gave him time and recovered him in the early afternoon.
We mostly hunted the south farm as we were seeing great buck activity in daylight! I killed a buck down at the lease last year and was very thankful for the opportunity to come back and share stories with Kenny!
Kenny - thanks for all you do, we truly had a blast and look forward to coming back in the future!
