there are reduced bear tags for non-residents that cost 31.75 ( certain areas only) and second tags that are also 31.75 in certain areas.
Conceivably you could kill a bear in one of these units; and get a second tag and kill another for a grand total of $205.
These are remote areas; but its 'doable'. There are spots where roads lead to wilderness areas; and its plenty remote when you get there.
The bears went to bed hungry; and there were big burns that will concentrate bears; where I am not sure - but overlaying a burn map from fires last year; and hunting areas could lead to a really good hunt.
IF I connect with a bear; I will myself be thinking of a second tag in one of these areas.
You might have to drive in on a Montana road to get to these spots- from the Hamilton area.
I would contact the Montana guys and see if they have any information that would complement such a plan..
