Cheap trainer bow

I'm looking for suggestions on a decent cheap light wait bow for training. I dont think it matters if long bow or recurve, i currently shoot a recurve. As im trying to change me shooting to better form with back tension i realize im over bowed. I shoot well when fresh but quickly become tiered and things fall apart. Would like to get something in that 40# s 28 range without breaking the bank.

I too wanted a lighter weight bow to work on my form and ordered a Galaxy Ember 3 piece TD longbow from Lancaster Archery. You can get either longbow or recurve limbs for them. I quickly fell in love with that bow and now own two and an extra set of limbs. It is my go-to bow and I have owned, and still own, a lot of much more expensive customs but this bow suits me better than most of them have.

Trust me on this...go ilf! You can get a nice riser that you could use for years for less than $200 and you can get a fine set of lightweight limbs to start with for $100 or less. You'll have a rig you can upgrade and use for years. Good luck!

I have a Galaxy Black Ridge Hybrid longbow, 62", one piece. Purchased for winter shooting. I really like it. I have a 27" draw. My brother-in-law has a 30" draw and it stacks on him. I am not real keen on the purple riser wood, but can recommend the bow. Lancaster has it for about $189 or so.

Is anyone even familiar w a string bow? There is nothing better than it. A few fellows I teach with include a guy who has now coached 2 girls to state champion, one is a former state champion.
They both religiously use string bows to practice form which is the op intent. We start every student with them. It works and is about as cheap as you can get.
To be clear I advise AGAINST using a bow to learn or readjust form.
If you aren’t familiar w a string bow and need help let me know. All you need is a piece of paracord or maybe an old long boot lace. Cheaper and better than any bow ever will be to work just form. It’s also invaluable for target panic rewiring of your brain/reactions. Everyone imo ought to use one for initial learning of anything. The only thing you can do with it is practice form. That’ll have you 100% focused on that.

the string bow is a great suggestion. As well on working form a large part of wanting a lighter bow is to help build up my back muscles
