Nice ! Love the camo , what length is that? I have a 14’ old town Cross link and A 16 ft royalex blue hole . Yours looks a lot like my buddy’s old town Pack that’s 11’ and weighs next to  nothing Compared to my bigger boats. I love using a canoe to access land. I’m not a big kayak guy, I just love being able to haul stuff and be able to sit or kneel as needed

11’9 @ a listed 54#’s. I’m with you, kayak’s are fine for fooling around and such, maybe fishing. But I want the ability to haul a little more and do so comfortably without fear of tipping.

Truck is loaded, boat is in the back of the truck, decent wind for the setup even though it’s merely a 3min paddle across a flood control lake that’s being drained for repairs. Set up will adjacent a wheat field I’m hoping they are feeding on and I should be between them and the bedding area.

That’s a awesome canoe. I almost bought one last year and wish I had done it. :( I have a 15 footer that’s great for duck hunting with buddies as it seats 3 but is to much alone so I need a solo canoe myself. Good luck tomorrow.

I painted my green old town camo for duck hunting and it is a nice set up. Love that factory cameo tho

That’s the story with my 17’ Grumman. It was my grandfather’s duck boat with my uncle. They hand painted the camo on it, can still see the brush strokes. It’s an absolute joy to paddle with person in the front seat. It’s a a beast by itself if there’s the slightest wind. I’ve tried sitting backwards in the front seat, and in the middle kneeling with a yak paddle. Even tried to side keel, but with the Oklahoma winds on an open lake shore it got dicey quick.

This thing is pretty easy to paddle into or with the wind. The only real problem I’ve had is it’s one real limitation. It’s got more space than a yak but it gets cramped quick with hunting gear.

That is a well trained wife! Enjoy your gift but remember your pfd, things can go very badly, very quickly.

Beautiful boat. I’ve been kind of itching for the exact same one to use as a hunting vessel as well.
