Worked on the Handle today, The grain is awesome in this Stave

4" fades on each side.
I've been seeing some fades done this way so I thought I would give it a try, not so easy the first time but came out nice.

Arrow rest is on the right and will be a ambidextrous rest

Thanks guy's

I have some coarse grind Turquoise, but it needs to be fine powder for a Arrow indicator.
So I used Grandpaws Hammer Dad gave me years ago.

I spot drilled with a 5/16" forstner bit on both sides
Filled the hole with it and super glue, filed and sanded smooth.
I think I'm going to leave the grip Naked, no leather or twine.

I normally don't care for turquoise powder inlays but here I think it fits. I like your idea of a naked handle here. How will you address the handle with the skins, joined at the center or end at the top and bottom of the handle?

I was sanding a little wedge today and trying to fit it on the side and I decided it was taking away from the look of the handle, so I decided to not use the arrow rest or a leather grip.
So I don't know yet how to end the skins?

Yeah, how are you going to deal with the skin ends with no handle wrap?
Are snake skins, even with finish on them, something you want to handle repeatedly?

I think the Turquoise looks sharp    Turquoise tip overlays would hide the other skin ends :goldtooth:

I'm surprised he used turquoise instead of hot pink:)

He can end the skins a tad above the grip, they can be feathered out on the ends easily.
