It’s Michigan Bow Opener today! I’m hoping to hear some good stories and see some great pictures from all of the Michigander’s out there. Good Luck!

I'm working today and will try to get out this evening. Off tomorrow and the weekend. I hope the weather cooperates.

Had a close call with a small 8 this morning but the wind decided to do an abrupt 180 as he was coming in. Maybe next time.

Partner and I hunted Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings of the opening week  end.  Together we saw 8 does and no bucks.  Rained every hunt.  Partner enjoyed his pop-up blind.  I enjoyed getting a wet derriere.  We both enjoyed the Crown Royal each evening.  Saw very few camps / hunters in the portion of the Manistee National Forest we hunt.  Too much rain and too few deer for others to be in 'our' woods.  Heading back north to hunt Thu - Sat.  Friday will be a great deer movement day.  Good Hunting to all the Michigan Men and Women.

Roy Boy - My partner wouldn't be caught dead in a TOYota - no self respecting archery hunter would!!!     Unfortunately he's decided to drive a Dodge truck, but he's okay with it as he knows Big Daddy can always pull him out of any tough situation with my JEEP.

Now that I think of it Roy, I don't think I've ever seen a TOYota in the places I go to hunt in my JEEP.  Y'all wouldn't make it.  If I had a dollar for every TOYota I've pulled out of a little mud puddle I could buy a new JEEP!   :saywhat:

Hope all are enjoying the time in the woods.  We have posted a nice number of harvest pictures on the MTB website. There two or 3 more to go up this Morning.  https://mitradbow.com/photo-gallery

I'll need to remember to put my hip boots on before catching up on this thread next time.  It started off deep.
Y'all knock some down up there folks.  Post them pics.

Early goose and duck season has really screwed us up. My property borders a farmer that leases his out. They go out to their blinds before day light and boot the deer off the fields. When the shooting starts the deer are doing the 100 yard dash by us.

It’s been a bit slow for me in the NW13. I’ve seen one forky a spike and a few Doe’s. I have an antlerless tag and I’m waiting for a nice fat doe to step in to shooting range. We might be getting some snow this weekend so I’m hoping it will move the deer around. I got my eye on these fella’s

Nice bucks! I've been out a few times around camp and once in Montcalm County. No shots yet, but so far I've seen 9 does and 2 bucks. Back at it this weekend between the rain showers. Last weekend was gorgeous and I only had time for one sit, with 0 sightings until the drive home. Then there were several attempts by deer to commit suicide by F150.
