Early season success
« on: October 09, 2020, 10:17:19 PM »
I've had a great start to the hunting season this year.  I got a doe opening morning and another one this evening.  Both were killed with my Yellowstone Longbow.  The first deer was a lung shot and the one today was a heart shot.  Neither one went very far.

It was a close quartering away angle.  The arrow lodged in the opposite shoulder.

I got to test out my new heavy duty deer skinning stand

This evenings deer.

The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

Thanks Pat.  The skinning stand is working great.  I'm not staying in as good of shape as I would like.  Between two jobs and preparing for deer season it doesn't leave much time to exercise.

Congrats on the does. That’s some good  eating there.
I’m looking forward on trying out my new Yellowstone halfbreed.

The first doe I used a Simmons Swampshark.  The second doe I used a Cliff Zwickey.

Thanks.  I rebuilt it a few weeks ago out of all galvanized steel.   That thing will be there until my future grandkids are too old to hunt.

Good to know on the Swampshark. I just bought 15 off the classifieds. Looks like it did a number!

That's what I'm talking about!  Good shooting!
I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.
