Believe it or not, I'm not in ShrewHaven camp this year. My foot isn't ready yet to get me around up there. Next year for sure.

They'd have to boot it, cast it or whatever.  I'd be there.
Then again, mom always said I'd cut off my nose to spite my face.

I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.

I can't walk on it yet, need to use a walker but I'm getting stronger and I'll be walking when it's ready

God bless ya brother. Hope it heals up good for you. When I had my brain surgery I had to learn all kind of things over again. Walking was one. The day they brought me from the hospital to rehab my room mate was shocked. He said I looked like the living dead but I kept trying to get up. Glad your spirits are good and strong.. That’s important. When I was in the hospital and rehab they wouldn’t allow a bow. No body would even bring me a turkey call to run. Said I’d drive everyone nuts.
Anyhow the pictures of you being to be you reminded me of the way I was. Thank God for the fighting spirit. Keep it up.
Had an older guy watching me improvise, adapt, do what needed to keep on keeping on afterward, he said when he was a boy an old man told him “Life is a series of adjustments”. It is and I’m glad you’re working through yours.

Hang in there, Brother!!!!

My youngest son Tyler has had both his ankles rebuilt. Two 2 1/2" screws in each ankle joint.
He tore them up playing football in High School, and walked around like an old man, instead of the strong young Bull that he actually is. It was heart breaking to watch. His first surgery was New Year's Eve last year, and the second ankle was done in June. Sadly he'll miss bow season this year, but maybe rifle season in November?

Thinking positive!! Licenses and tags are bought, and he has a new pair of Red Wing logger boots...
He can't wait to be walking the mountain again!!!

I fell last January. Two times in the hospital after two surgerys. Was in a rehab facility until the covid shutdow then demanded to go home and take care of myself. It's been a long ordeal but I'm looking forward to getting better.......

Even so with the help of my oldest son we've managed to get "RedBird's Nest" moved into place and decorated with memorabilia . It's been a great project that has kept my spirits up. My dear wife had a saying from the Bible that she would quote when things got tough...."This too shall pass"

What is this “snow” you speak of? Ice, freezing rain, those one familiar with. “Snow” is some mythical weather phenomenon to hunt in for me. I might, MIGHT get 3 days at the tail end of season. Maybe. At best.

We had a pretty decent amount of snow on the ground this weekend. 2 inches probably. I'm a bit further north than shrewhaven though. Sure is exciting knowing the white stuff is on it's way and the deer will be moving!
