Ah, that would explain why I couldn't find it under Grizzly's drum sanders...

Thanks!

Had to move over a bit, didn't line up thru riser centerline.  Did that on purpose to show how to align tips with riser...
Stay sharp, Kenny.

That's what I moved, same amount on both tips. See the old line I checked centerline of bow with and the new line I moved over to line up with riser center?
Stay sharp, Kenny.

I'm going to try that drawing thing next time around.  I usually just eyeball them and start grinding away on 36 grit till it looks sorta like a bow.   :biglaugh:

Too dang wind and hot to hunt so I’ll do a bit more on this ...

Gonna put the belly overlay on, remember we smoothed the glass out with the curved block? Here is where it helps ya out. Easier to do a smooth curve on the disc sander than a bumpy one. Bout ten minutes and she is tight.

Also I cut a relief cut in the grip cutout , just habit to let the overlay flex a little when clamping. Just don’t cut into where the grip is gonna be ...

Marked

Fitted and relief cut

Some rough drawing for riser shape, also keeps me from reversing the overlay. I want original grain to line up ...

Shaped the ends of overlay to save work later...
