I have several Bear TD wood risers A and B and all have a small leather cushion on the latches to prevent a clicking sound and all are tight unstrung.  I shoot split finger but use large size brush buttons on the string where it lays against the recurve, and no string silencers. All are quiet with flemish dacron strings.  Newer limbs are okay with fast flight etc.

Thank you. Could you send me a picture of the leather/latch?
