I’ve always been around the 14’ height. I’ve got 3 ladder stand out that are all 15’. Another one I took a section off to tuck it in a cedar and it’s 10’.
I’ve got a hang on that’s 10’ with good cover. Just hung 2 other stand last week. One is about 16-18’ in a big cedar to give me good cover to hunt a particular big old doe that keeps busting me. The other stand is in the bottom of a holler that’s about 30-40 yards wide and it is over 20’ to avoid being busted. Every spot has its own circumstances and I’m not afraid to go high or low to take advantage.
