phil,

you've surely had a go around of it these past months...

At least you have a wife to help rub some stuff on that helps...

That's also a double edged sword, I'm sure...  :dunno:

Alas, Docs that won't/ Can't fess up leave me somewhat "chilled"... I like honesty and FACTS which are sorely missing in today's world...

Doc it is a mess for sure but there is always someone that is worst off. I am truly blessed that God gave me the wonderful life partner that he did. She has been right by my side thru all of my illness.

Hang in there Low Rider, and as my Dad's Older brother once shared with me when his Bone Cancer came back after being in remission...

Prayers for you Doc...I haven't been on this part of Tradgang in awhile.  Bernie had been on my mind and your post happened to catch my eye as I was scrolling by.  I pray that you get miraculous results from your new "real" doctor!  I have always admired the Faith you have in our Lord and Savior!

Randy,

I don't like to post too quickly on top another and cover up their reply, but while I appreciate your sentements a LOT! I truly doubt I am anything special in the "FAITH" department, but thank you for the thought...

It's a LOT easier to profess this stuff then it is to LIVE it day to day....

Things are moving at a snail's pace with input and treatments but the cancer is growing like wildfire... Se le Vie,eh?

Prayers for you Doc ... our days are so full earthy uncertainty, it's the certainty of God's love and grace that make each day a blessing.

Doc, you say that there is nothing special about your faith, but I disagree just a bit. To me, what makes your faith special is your willingness to share it. I have read so many times where you strongly stated where your faith lies, but you have never tried to push your beliefs off on others. I like that. This is how you feel, and others can share it if they so choose. It is a good example to us all. I may not be able to express this very well, but your faith sets a great example for others.

That,Sam, warms the cockles of me heart...so did yours Steve, Thank you both... :wavey:

I had 2 scans done Friday a bone last and a Lymph first with contrast prior (had to drink some glup) and this week lying flat raises unholy hell with my right hip, upper thigh...dunno if cancer or advancing arthritis but since yesterday when it went off scale it's continued to hurt lots... Been using heat to try to subdue it some

I have a Doc Appt Monday and perhaps will learn something...As to the root cause but my body doesn't like pain meds or other medication and reacts/ rejects most... so this could get interesting....

I Totally DISLIKE anyone trying to shove ANY belief system down my throat, so it means a lot to read you fine words Sam...Thank you...

Dogs,

I had a good reply going and something went hooey and it disappeared...

long story short, pain is increasing daily..but I am still being blessed!

Cancer Doc wants me to consider an alternative that involved radioactive IV to kill the bone cancer... I have been given a lot of literature but studied it and have questions...

Can't see her till 31st to get answers and it involves monthly trips to Knoxville, 90 minutes west of here via expressway... I barely trust myself to drive local, but lady from church said she'd find me a ride...

That's ONE blessing...

I was going to pay my neighbor lady's Foster child (5 yr old) to pick up sticks so I could TRY to mow... Lo and behold, the neighbor man mowed his yard and then hit mine...

Blessing #2!

So amidst this crap, there are good things--- just way more pain then I'd hoped for... :dunno:

I'm sorry for the pain Doc..sounds like you have some good people around you. I wish I lived a little closer. I'd love to drop in, have a conversation, put my arm around your shoulder. You are one tough dude Doc. I'm praying every day. If there is anything I can do from afar don't hesitate.

Mark,

I surely do appreciate the sentiments...I DO, but CO is a good hoof and I only have 2 or so know associates... One is 87 and due for hip replacement...the other is the young couple moved next door...and there is a 'Gatekeeper" lady at church..

prayers always help... I can assure you, I'd welcome your visit as I don't get much in the way of company...

When the Lord wants me he knows where I live...

Just getting way harder to do normal hygiene then I expected...

Been away from here for a time.
Sorry to read that things have gotten worse Doc.
I wish I could do better than some platitude like "Hang in there" but I don't have the words...
All the Best.
