Drawing the 90#@31 yew selfbow
« on: November 23, 2020, 10:18:00 PM »
Was requested I post a video.

First draw is to my face 26" and the last 2 are the full 31" to the end of the tip.   Tried to get a video shooting but it was too dark.  Its actually very smooth considering the weight.
The bow is 78".  Really rockets that 730gr arrow.

Beautiful arc of a circle tiller.     ...and this  :notworthy: for pulling that sucker to 31".

Does it matter if you shoot that bow left hand or right hand?  That's a nice looking bow, but, my shoulder hurts just looking at it  .LOL

From the tiller, I guessed immediately it was a Ravenbeak longbow!

you can shoot it either way. you can even shoot it right handed with the arrow on the left like they apparently did in medieval times

Hey Ari ,that is a nice looking bow ,the raven beak I got from you shoots just great . Yes I bet that bow really launches an arrow, best of luck with her.

That, my friend, is a beautiful bow.  But I would just be able to hold it and look at it.  LOL
