I'm working on finding back tension. It's my unicorn. I have no idea what it feels like, but I recently heard a suggestion that I should be pushing my bow string elbow backwards towards my scapula, so I've been trying that. What I have found is, if done correctly, my string hand doesn't jump away from my face, and my arrow typically finds its mark. I very recently started consciously practicing back tension so it takes a lot of concentration on my part, and I don't always achieve what I want. (In hindsight, I should probably be doing this very close to the target to I don't have to concentrate on aiming.)
I've also found that I need some work on my bow hand. If you watch the video, it appears as though the bow is jumping to the left. Not sure what's causing that? Maybe too much tension in my grip? Here's a couple videos, any critique would be appreciated. I feel as though the last shot in the video was my best.
