So i have a Bear Montana longbow and I like it but I would like to get something shorter. I was looking a a recurve or longbow that is 56 and under but I have just come across the VPA Vapor and it is a short ilf riser, I have wanted an ilf riser but was leaning more toward Hoyt satori or trad Tec titan that are longer risers. any thoughts on the topic would be great thanks.
For a 56” recurve it is hard to beat a Bear Cheyenne…. It gets no press, but it is the best “short bow” I have…. You didn’t mention draw length, but a bow under 56” starts to suck passed a 27” draw….
The tradtech 17” Titan II, with a set of short limbs will give you a 58” bow, and medium limbs a 60”…. I've been shooting a 19" Titan III for 10 years+, and have nothing but good thing too say about it..... seriously, no negatives in ten years.....they are a well designed riser...also take a look at the 3Rivers Das risers too....
…personally, I would get the Cheyenne first, because it is just a really nicely designed bow…. And
then the Titan II, because once you start down the ILF path, it’s hard to turn back…..
…. and remember, it’s never…. “which one?”….. it’s “which one first”….
