Finished this one up today
« on: December 19, 2020, 02:11:11 PM »
60" 55#@28" Zebrawood riser with walnut I-beam, Figured Eucalyptus veneers, rosewood and black G10 for tip and handle overlays. wasnt sure I was gonna like the veneers at first, but they sure look good on there with that zebrawood. Satin Thunderbird finish.

...stood alone on a montaintop, starin out at a great divide, I could go east, I could go West, it was all up to me to decide, just then I saw a young hawk flyin and my soul began to rise......

I wasnt sure how I was gonna like those veneers. Put a lil pecan colored stain on em and man they matched up nice with the riser. Those were some packaged veneers from a veneer supplier, .020 thick so pretty thin. I usually go at .030 on ones I make myself.  Im gonna order some more of that stuff, for sure.
