Limbsations
« on: December 30, 2020, 11:25:26 PM »
Has anyone used limbsations from one stinger?  How did they hold up?  Any feedback?

Thanks

I've had them on two of my bows for two and a half years now and they are holding up good. They're easy to put on. Also it is nice if you get tired of the ones you have on your bow you can peel them off and put on something different. Lots of choices. I have the copperhead snake skins limbsations on my 1972 Bear Super Kodiak, and I have the timber rattlesnake limbsations on my 1990 Bear Kodiak.

i have, i used them on a kodiak mag some yrs. back. they hold up real good. they are pretty tough. i just recently got some for a bow i have been hunting with a couple yrs. i think if you have ugly limbs they are a way to go.

heres the kodiak mag.

Thanks. I will order a set.  I just got some uukha limbs and the look, well, lifeless. May order the Kuiu Camo version.

Yes, very durable,  and that says a lot coming from me. I also use their reflective wraps exclusively on every arrow that I have, which is a lot.

This pic was taken in 2014 and I have a few more to add since then.  These are some of my kill arrows that I have retired from memorable hunts. Most have One Stringer arrow wraps as do the others I need to add.

I don't use wraps on wood arrows, just aluminum. I just started bowhunting again with aluminum arrows in 2021. I used wood arrows from 1969 to 2020 except for a year in the late 1970s when I used aluminum. The last three years I have been bowhunting with aluminum arrows with pink wraps. Pink is really noticeable in flight for me. All three of these bucks (left to right: 2021, 2022, 2023) I watched my arrows whole flight from the time the arrow left my bow to it hit the buck. All three I knew exactly where my arrow hit on the buck. Wraps work great.

Good folks to do business with. Always great service and fast even with custom wraps. Been dealing with them for at least a dozen years now

I can say the same with chartreuse - flow yellow for 3 and a half decades. And that color shows up really well in low light, almost as if its glowing.

I've shot all of them colors and more in the 55 years of bowhunting with traditional gear, and they worked good. You got to use what color works best for you. Bright pink just works best for me.

Here are a few other aluminum arrows of mine I used wraps on. It's great to have so many different colors to choose from.

Yes, it's most important to be able to see your arrow in flight, and hi viz feathers have more than just 1 advantage. The wraps are also valuable in more than 1 advantage.

The Flo yellow wraps with Flo yellow feathers and Flo green nock work the best for me especially in low light conditions. Thinking about the OP limbstations would be IMO a better option than painting shiny limbs for hunting. Removing limbstations would be a lot easier than removing paint if and when it was time to sell the bow.

Wraps may be an option, should I chose to go with Aluminum or Carbon arrows.  They won't work as well with tapered woodies.

Wud, they worked fine on all those carbon arrows on the rack that are tapered, and there's a bunch of them on that rack, and over that many again and again in my house that I practice with and others that have never been quivered that are ready to do battle.

So no worries on wraps and tapered shafts.
