Have heard of Chastain but never seen one. This limb design is sort of borrowed with my changes.

interesting limb shape...

reminds me of a limb that was actually computer generated/optimized in the modeling app I use.

Gots a little shape to it today. Get the limbs pulling straight Monday. This one should come in 60@28. I am not real crazy about the lines of this riser but it sure fits the hand nice sooo

Well just crap. I got these limbs pulling good. I leave the tape on until I sand the glass to avoid scratches etc.
I found an unwanted surprise. Out of the hundreds of the bows I have built never had this before. The only thing I can figure is the bamboo was marginal on layup. About 1/16th wide and full of glue. I am thinking it may not be a problem.
what you guys think?? Gonna be a field tester bow.

If it's solid it should be fine I think.

Got a 55# D/R with osage veneers that did that from the glue moving when I pressed it.  It's fine, first split limb D/R I ever built... :biglaugh:

Keep it in a bow sock when not using, it can stay that way for a long time

Yep, or if you like the darker color, set it in the sun unstrung of course.

I have done that to a couple at the patio door...

The bright yellar sticks out in the woods like a sore.......... thumb I guess.
