New set up necessary

Due to a serious wrist issue I need to drop bow weight. I got my hands on a 37#@28 Great Northern Field Bow. I put together some PO arrows coming in at 440gns. In your opinion am I handicapped for whitetails. I was shooting 45-50lb. bows before this wrist issue. Another part of this formula is all my shots are 15yds or less.

You can go to a,super curve to maximize performance. Max 6 or Hex 7.5 or higher. Two blade, and 11 or 12 gpp arrows.
There is a guy on the boards that killed a moose (I think) with a 39# Covert Hunter.

Im not one to take everything a pro says as gospel but you cant argue with his results. Also, many native tribes hunted with primitive 30# bows with cane arrows. A modern 37# bow is significantly more powerful than those.

The February/March issue of TBM has an article called light bows big moose...the equipment notes say he used border tempest riser with hex 7.5/39 pound limbs, acc 300 shafts with 160 grin stops heads and 125 grin adapters...never tried it but yours should work on deer...wish you the best with the rise issue
