Wood Arrows
« on: January 08, 2021, 01:42:37 PM »
I have used carbon shafts for my arrows for years, but have lately been thinking about transitioning back to wood shafts.  I am looking at arrows with all the "fix'ings" - dipped, crested, barred feathers.  Any recommendations on a vendor(s) to go to?  While I have the skills and some of the tools to build my own, right now I do not have the time to focus on it.  Thanks!

Raptor Archery is a TG Sponsor worth looking into for arrows.

D&M custom arrows would be the way I would go. He makes some of the most beautiful arrows I have ever seen.

I agree 100%.  D&M makes the most beautiful arrows anywhere.   "All the Fixin" and then some.

I appreciate the information.  I did not realize that D&M (Gary Hall) was making custom wood arrows.  I have 3 sets of his carbons. :archer2:

Fitter, I will check out Raptor.  I think you should go buy yourself a new set of arrows...  I am sure you were a good boy this last year and deserve to treat yourself!  :bigsmyl:

Thank you..... I try to be good but sometimes  :bigsmyl: I do know a new bow needs new arrows so it would be the right thing to do. He has some in stock arrows that caught my eye so I’ll holler at him Monday. Thanks for the link Deno..... I can only see orts of his page ....my smart phone..... well let’s just say it isn’t so smart LOL

Spent some time on the phone today with Ted from Raptor..... couldn’t ask for a nicer and more knowledgeable guy to talk to. If you haven’t ordered from anywhere yet it might be well worth your time to give him a call...... I have new arrows on the way  :archer:
