I have been sitting on these for a while never really knowing which way to go on them. Now I have some direction.

I need to figure out the riser but leaning towards spalted maple with an I beam of alternating bocote and spalted maple, or maybe curly maple.

Those are some good looking veneers.  Going to be a looker no matter which way you go with it.

They are shipped Mark, outta my hands now.

Had a new one, I have some sassafrass, was gonna use for core cause it's light weight.  Made lams, scarfed the ends, and CA won't stick it together.  WTH  , seems like really dry wood and is for sure kiln dried .

From a guy that does a lot of lam splices told me to use Elmers wood Max. suppose to hold the end grain. Kinda weird why the SG wont hold it tho.

Wife wants a hat rack in laundry room so it will be sassafras or black locust ... :biglaugh:

Think I'll build a longbow out of one of these. My last longbow was kind of a dog, gonna change up a thing or two and try to improve it.
