It warmed up a bit yesterday and progress was made on the form. Thought I had enough plywood around to finish the glue and screw at least but didn't quite make it.

Had to quit early to help the wife prepare lasagna dinner for 13 for a daughter's birthday. A good time was had.

It might be windy today but hopefully it will be at least glued and screwed.

Well I was tillering the bow today, it's asymmetrical, my first attempt at one, top limb 1.5 inches longer than the bottom limb..

I always made my bows symmetrical.

I've seen some BBO bows done asymmetrical and did not like the braced tiller profile on a few, the bottom limb would be almost 1/4 moon shape and the top limb is darn near flat.

Braced look doesn't really matter, it's the full draw look we are concerned about. BUT I don't like that braced look.

That's how this one was when I got it braced to 6.5 inches and I hate that look.

So I cut 1.5 inches off the top limb and glued the tip overlay back on...

But it was fun in the shop today, tad on the warm side too:)

So time will tell if it works out now or I make another one...

All shapes out and roughly floor tillered. Still a bit heavy to bring to brace but the bend looks decent enough. I plan on tweaking it as I drop the weight a bit more.

Made a new set of jigs for my risers. I have freehanded a couple of test bows with this design, but making a jig never worked. Used a tip from Mark (MadMax) he posted on the tip thread, filling the gaps with EA40. Worked extremely well. Perfect match without any touch ups.
