Well I was tillering the bow today, it's asymmetrical, my first attempt at one, top limb 1.5 inches longer than the bottom limb..
I always made my bows symmetrical.
I've seen some BBO bows done asymmetrical and did not like the braced tiller profile on a few, the bottom limb would be almost 1/4 moon shape and the top limb is darn near flat.
Braced look doesn't really matter, it's the full draw look we are concerned about. BUT I don't like that braced look.
That's how this one was when I got it braced to 6.5 inches and I hate that look.
So I cut 1.5 inches off the top limb and glued the tip overlay back on...
But it was fun in the shop today, tad on the warm side too:)
So time will tell if it works out now or I make another one...
