Hey Lonnie,  I did that once.   I been known to make a box out of those moving boxes they sell at Lowes.  It's a PITA,  bu it serves until USPS recognizes our needs and adds them to the free box  📦 program.

Don't use the Home Depot ones. They're made of recycle ♻️ and are flimsy.

I'm getting the finishing problem straightened out.  Not gonna be a great finish though.  😕

OTOH, I hope this bow works out as well for my victim as it does for me!  It just behaves beautifully in the hand.  Should ship tomorrow.

Lonnie, try heating the tube with a heat gun and flattening it with a board while it’s still soft.

Curious: what are you paying to ship your bow? I sent a selfbow from PA to ohio few months back via FedEx and it cost me over $40 cheapest delivery just a few hours away. If I wanted tracking it was $75.  I never remember paying that much when I was shipping lam bows but maybe I've just been out of the loop.

$28 dollars USPS from Missouri to New York, that is with $500 insurance 1 week delivery.  I have never had a problem with USPS.

x2

I hear PVC pipe cost more than PVC pipe wrapped with brown paper to ship, USPS wants cardboard look

I think mine was 26 dollars. I think it was probably the same pvc pipe rainman shipped in.
