Got a hog up wind of me 35 yards or so that's been grunting for 15 minutes.  Not sure what his issue is but it's not me. Wind directly in my face steady, and no way he can see me through all this thick tangle. I was sitting in a hole about to make a post when it started.

I've been standing for 10 minutes and he's still upset at something.

The first Javi in the group was on edge. Since I didn’t want to have to defeat several pairs of eyes, I drew back when it turned broadside at ten yards. As I hit anchor, the Javi turned straight at me and alerted. I eased down hoping it wouldn’t spoil the rest of the show. A couple of soft woof sounds and it walked off into the brush on the opposite side of the road. The rest of the group kept on coming.

The front two Javi came into the same opening as the edgy one. One Javi had two piglets in tow and was on the opposite side of the road from me. The other gave me a great quartering to me shot opportunity at ten yards. I drew back as smooth and slowly as I could. Before I knew it, the shot broke and pink fletching appeared right behind the shoulder. Out came a roaring growl, then the Javi spun toward and snapped at the arrow. Off he ran into the brush.
