No, I did not. I was cursed with some bad luck. I put the stalk on quite a few and even got to the point of getting ready to draw a couple of times, but I never got a shot. They are spooky little devils and things like a coyote howling near us could spook them -- that happened more than once. Or the dirt road getting dive bombed by doves would spook the javelinas into the brush.

I will get after them next year and have better luck, I am certain of that.

Yeah, Joe had lots of adventure. Lots of stalks and set ups. It was just Murphys Law that got him. I certainly enjoyed chasing them with him. Boy did we stay busy!!!

On another note.... I used to have a coffee pot in my bathroom that I would set to go off 10 minutes before my alarm clock. I rarely heard my alarm clock go off because the coffee would Wake me up 1st. When my girls got so busy in high school and middle school I got away from that coffee pot. Due to this backwoods grind I drug the coffee pot back out....

The aroma this morning not only exploded in my bathroom but also blew up my bedroom. Wow does this stuff smells good.... nothing like mass produced coffee.

I have 3 bags of High Noon on the way....

Great stories guys, all around great. I sure miss these type of threads. This is much more representative of a hunting camp that instascam. I got burnt out on that in a hurry. Nothing but pics, no stories, just a flash in the pan and onto the next pic, maybe someone's lunch from yesterday, or the grocery bag their dog peed on. Its a total wast of time.

We need more group hunts like we had back 5 years ago and beyond. Great hunts, like this one, great stories, great memories, great friendships forged, and basic fun of being taken along if you weren't there.

Man I miss reading these type of threads.

No, this ranch is hit or miss for pigs.... we were so busy chasing javies it didn't matter....

However. I was sweetening up a spot hogs were coming to.... just never hunted them....

The outfitter has other ranches available for javies and hogs... this one was 90% javies..... and we all knew that going in.
