End of season Doe
« on: February 02, 2021, 07:27:32 PM »
Well for some reason Maryland added a 3 day Primitive deer season for Trad bows and primitive muzzy.  I did not plan on hunting it but we got some unexpected snow this past weekend and I cant resist getting out in it.  I set out a blind yesterday and was planning on a long afternoon sit.  Well that didn't work out.  I still hunted my way to my stand and not 50 yards from it I noticed what looked like a deer in  small thicket.  Two more steps and see stood up 20 yards away.  I turn ed away, took and arrow out of the quiver, nocked the arrow turned and she was still saying at me.  Well I raised the bow and took a nice controlled shot.  I know the shot was good s soon as it left the rest.  She went 40 yards or so and piled up.  Magnus Stinger 150 grain 4 blade did it job for sure. Trying to post a pic but having trouble

That's a great way to end it for sure!  Congratulations!
I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.

Well done-always like hunting in the snow-makes for easier tracking.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

Yea its kind of funny that Maryland has a bow season, Muzzy season, gun season, more archery muzzy and gun season.  Then they say hay lets let the trade guys hunt for three days in FEB :knothead:
