Chuck, I’m not sure how many pics they hold, but recently pulled a 16 Gb card with about 6,000 pix on it…still had room on it. You should be good!

Thanks, Brother!!!

I was planning on swapping the cards every weekend, cuz I don't have any way to read them.
Figured I'd bring them home, download them, the take them back the next weekend & swap them out again.

Well, at least I don't have to worry about them being "full" LMAO!  :thumbsup:

They sell readers that you can use. You insert the card and the pictures are displayed on a screen.

I'm cheap so I just use an old digital camera that that has a SD card slot. I can put the card in and see what I've got on the camera display. I usually look through them again on my big screen at home.

Running cameras is a full-time hobby for us. We leave them up all year and really enjoy it.

David, I had toyed with the idea of buying one of those readers, but that idea about the old digital camera is ingenious! I’m pretty sure I’ve got one or two of those around somewhere!

i keep my cameras on video, and the videos take up more space . so i use 32 gb cards.
 i have never filled one up completely. cards are cheap enough to have plenty extras.
 and videos are just more fun! more action!

I also use my digital camera to view pics in the field and erase those that don’t have animals in them. My camera does fine with the still photos but won’t recognize videos. For those I have to download to my phone, then edit (usually by shortening the video a few seconds) and then I can view it. Not sure why. I think it has something to do with the way the trail cam formats the videos.

Looking good Homey. Great prospect for the upcoming season.
Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison;

[quote from Woodchucker]   I was planning on swapping the cards every weekend, cuz I don't have any way to read them.

If you have a smart phone you can use the fairly cheap card readers that some of the camera manufacturers make. I'm not talking about the viewers that have the screen. You can also get the cheap card readers that plug into the USB port on pc's and plug them into your phone. To do this you need to get a cable that plugs into the charging port on the phone and the opposite end has the same female USB connector that a pc has. I can pull a card and view and load the pictures or videos into the phone and clear the card and re install it.  To help keep the images organized for each card that I upload to the phone I will make a new folder in pictures and give it a name identifying the camera location and date then load the images to the folder.  You can add an SD card to your camera for extra storage space.  Later I will view and delete any unwanted images.
  You can usually find the cheap card readers in stores that sell electronics. A search on that company that once sold only books will find these readers and cables.  This is really handy when I'm out for a couple of weeks and not making the trip home.
If I'd known that I would live this long I'd have taken better care of myself.
