I haven’t seen one of these yet, so hope it’s ok to start one up!

Post ‘em if you’ve got ‘em! Big or small, or anything else cool you stumble across in your adventures!

I never have done much shed hunting, but I’m giving it a shot this year. My son (9 years old) is interested, which motivates me to get out there as well.

Earlier this week we went to a spot on the farm we haven’t visited in a while, and found it flooded due to beavers damming the branch. Here’s my son crossing the dam.

After we crossed I was walking through about a foot of water and stepped on something hard and round. Moved it around with my boot until I saw an eye socket! Not sure what happened to this ol’ girl, but managed to find her jaw bones close by.

No antlers yet, but I felt good about our first find on only our second outing!

I found one bald dead head before the snow came. My dad found a small 3 pt. Several of the deer were still carrying last week according to trail cameras

Charlie, I pulled a card today and found much the same—many bucks still sporting headgear. I’m hoping to take some time off in early March and do some longer day hikes while looking for antlers.

My wife and I shed hunt each year, but with -40 wind chills and 20 inches of snow it's going to have to wait a bit first.

We have never really hunted for sheds, just stumbled on a few. My daughter in law started deer hunting last year and was determined she was going to find some sheds. My son took her out and walked some of the trails on our land and last weekend they found 6. Two of them were from the same buck and were about 3 feet from each other. Her first year hunting she shot one of the biggest bucks we have ever shot on our property. I told her she is the luckiest little hunter I have ever seen. I think she is hooked.

I've only been out twice with the dog. Not a great pic, but this was her first wild shed find by herself. I actually spotted it first, but just let her find it. It was a year old shed, not a new drop.

I don't hunt sheds on purpose but if I see them I pick them up.

Only found one so far this year. Haven't looked for sheds on purpose....

Had this guy behind the house all fall.  Have many pictures of him on this scrape.  Give him a couple years.....

I'm bad at setting the dates/times on trail cameras.  This was mid October this fall.

Dec 12 he showed up with one horn....he dropped that one early!

And here he is losing the 2nd horn, on camera....

Coyote checking it out....

Then I showed up to check the camera....

I like shed hunting this way!     :biglaugh:  (no comments on the hat, please....)

So cool that he dropped one in front of your camera! Hope you can find the match.

And good golly, those elk antlers! I think even I’d have a hard time missing those.

We have been shed off for the most part for 3 weeks give or take.  The heavy snow and brutal temps here have kept us from looking.  We had a very unusual 6 point (very tall, high forked with some mass) in our yard near the lake a bunch of times and know he was sticking pretty close.  I would love to find his sheds.

Good luck to all the shed hunters.

Great finds guys. It's been warm enough to melt snow the last 3 or 4 days.  My rain date to the farm is this still weekend. Hope to find a couple.  They e been bedding near our food plot and hanging close. They love the radishes this year
