Montana Pitch Blend
« on: March 08, 2021, 09:58:40 AM »
I ordered some Montana Pitch Blend, and was wondering if I should apply it to the part of the finger stall that touches the string or just on the sides? I'm going to use it on a American Leathers crossover.

I've been using Montana Pitch Blend for many years.

I put on a good amount, then I rub it in well on the entire glove.

I let it sit for about a day then rub it again if need be.
May your next adventure lighten your heart, test your spirit, and nourish your soul.

I wash and treat my Damascus glove every year with Montana Pitch Blend. I usually put it on pretty thick and let it sink into the leather then wipe off the excess. Never had a problem with it on the fingertips or stalls.

Sounds good ya'll. I just didn't know if it would reduce the slickness on the string. That's good to know.

FWIW on the finger stalls, I lube the string contact area with Coconut Oil ... it's more slippery than even silicon-based lubricants! And it's a natural product, so I'm ... uhhhh, sorta traditional.

Just got it in the mail, and lubed it up. Looks like a great product. I will keep the coconut oil in mind too.
