Hello Master Craftsmen, I'm currently trying to put a new limb tip on a fiberglass laminated limb. I am also in the process of building my very first hickory longbow. I used titebond 3 to glue the deer antler limb tips on the hickory bow and so far seems to be doing the job. Now onto my question, I have a takedown recurve bow that my son accidentally dry fired, (arrow un-nocked off the string during his draw) damaging one of the limb tips.. the company replaced the limbs no question asked and never asked for me to send the old limbs to them, leaving me with a couple of limbs that I would like repair and to use on a warf bow. I don't think titebond will adhere to the glass as well as adhering to wood.. what would be the best local hardware glue to use? I went to Ace hardware and the young man sold me on E6000. but before using it, what are your opinions on E6000?
PS there is some curvature in the ends of the limbs, so I did use a couple of pieces of wood Maple, and walnut, titebonded them together, placed on the limbs, and clamped it down as to have the same curvature as the limbs thus creating a flush fit and ready for gluing to the fiberglass.
