I like a one piece bow also but I can see the draw for a take down or 3 piece if you do alot of traveling.I have a Black Widow PSR 56' 47@28" and its probably my all time favorite.I do wish it was a little heavier though....

My favorites to date. Teolke  Chinook,  Kota Killum, Fox Breed, Great Northern Super ghost. Heard the Holms River runner is nice as well.

Being mainly a longbow shooter, I don't like Heavy Recurves. My favorite one piece recurve is a Crow Creek by Elmer Patton. I know he is retired and finding one is near impossible. It is as light as a Toelke Pika...tippit

I love my Great Northern Ghost. I've got an older Bear and Ben Pearson that are both one piece and great shooters as well.

Schafer, I've had 3 of them, all were excellent bows.  Robertson makes a great one piece, he can put a bow bolt in it if you want a two piece for travel that looks and shoots like a one piece.  Others that I'd recommend are the the Tolke and Norm Jacobson's Bear Paw.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

As mentioned I am a one-piece fan.  All my longbows and my recurve are solid bows.  I have a Martin MTD that was traded for but not been shot and a Brigham kit bow that is also a three piece, one might get to like it.  I can see a two piece recurve and/or longbow potentially in my future.

I've owned and shot a truckload of bows over the years. I have not shot anything better than the Samick Sage one piece recurve. Put a FF string on it and it out performs my custom recurve at 1/5 the price. A really nice bow that is not getting the recognition it deserves.

Personally I don't like the grip and shelf cut of Bear bows.  I like a heavier 3 piece for shooting tournaments or backyard shooting but if I'm spending two or three hours walking and stalking a lighter bow is nice.
This Mamba fits that perfectly.  Short, light, a grip that isn't too deep.
However it wouldn't be the one I put in the luggage for a hunt out of state or in Canada.
I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.

Thanks for all the feedback. I’ve had several 3 piece bows, but still prefer the feel of a one piece. I have older ones, but custom one piece don’t seem as plentiful these days. If I travel to hunt it would be driving so that’s not an issue.
I really like the look of the Tribal Styk but I don’t think he makes that style anymore. Blacktails are awesome too if I could find one.
Thanks again

Both types have there place and advantages. I do like one piece bows.

Any way I have a Fox Breed, Checkmate Attila and a Mahaska.

Those are great looking bows John (beeman)!  If I traveled by air I would certainly look at takedowns, but since I don't I only have one pieced bows...love the looks of them!

I just got a Hurst “Prana”. Still trying to figure out which arrow it likes, but a very nice shooting bow.
This is my Prana which is a Static recurve and 59” that should be in my hands on Saturday. Coltin had it built in about 22 days and he just did Marks in front of mine.
A really great young man that responds to Every email, text and phone call and a pleasure to talk to.

My first trad bow some 20 years ago was a Jeffery classic hunter. It was a fantastic 50's style bow. I had a Schafer one piece that I regrettably sold just due to the fact it was a little heavy on poundage. I have been eyeing a Widow KB for ground blind hunting, they shoot like a much longer bow for sure.

Wes Wallace still builds one piece and Silvertip are available in one piece. If I had deep pockets those two would be on my list.

My Blacktail Sitka is two years old now and even though BT no longer offers a one piece I was half tempted to try and talk Norm into making one more before I ordered the Sitka.
