Recurve vs Longbow. Will shooting both influence my accuracy with one?

I change bows daily between about 40 in the shop.....a mix of selfbows, modern longbows, traditional longbows, modern recurves, primitive recurves, vintage recurves, and very modern ILF bows.  I find that switching constantly is absolutely no trouble at all provided that the given set of arrows and bow are tuned together.  I have probably a dozen sets of arrows that cover the all the bows.  I can't imagine shooting just one bow or limiting ones self that way.....archery is FUN and one of the things that makes me want to shoot every day is picking a new bow I haven't shot in a while.  I also shoot a mix of three under and split finger, as well as a couple different anchors depending on the bow....but I absolutely expect that they will all shoot in the same hole at any distance since they are all tuned to a given set of arrows.  Shooting just one bow would be so much less fun if I had to do that.  When I go hunting, I just pick whichever one I fancy that day.

If your form is correct.... you can shoot a broom stick.

I shoot both all the time, I just love to watch arrows fly. after many years of shooting and trying to stick to one or the other I gave up and starting shooting what I want. It actually seems to help my concentration and consistency. My bow choices could not be farther apart I have several Hill Style longbows in weights from 50-60#, and heavy one piece and ILF recurves I shoot from an elevated rest. Form is slightly different, mainly the bow arm and grip. It is really not a problem but it takes a few arrows to adjust.

For quite a number of years I have only shot the longbow, but I used to also shoot recurves. Then, if I swapped from one to the other, it would take me a few arrows to get back in the groove again, not that I was ever particularly good with either bow. Now, I have no desire to shoot the recurve, yet I have no wish to get rid of them, either.

I flip flop between them (Longbows, Recurve's, and Self Bows) all the time, vastly different grips high wrist, low wrist, straight grip self bow styles. While I will admit it does vary may draw length a bit it has zero effect on my accuracy. Terry said it best focus on your form and you are Golden.
