Cristian got a package

Cristian got a bow,6 arrows, an arm gaurd and a quiver in the mail today

Oh yeah,Lets see if I can remember what he said.
He said "papaw this is my most favorite thing I ever done.This is better than cool,It's TOTALY AWESOME."
I explained to him how and why he got the bow and he said "papaw we got to go see Vermonster.I gotta tell him just how awesome this is." I told him that I had a better idea.Why don't I have him email me his phone number and when your mom brings you home Sunday afternoon we can call him.
He shot about an hour and a half before I had to take him to his mom.
He didn't want to go.
I showed him the basics,stance,form anchor and release. he started of half draw,low elbow.The more he shot the higher his elbow came up and the better his form got.
Before today he couldn't reach behind his head with his right arm.
Now he can reach behind his head and almost pull an arrow out.
I think that his brain told him all this time(subconsciously) that he couldn't do it.

After he started shooting,he forgot that he couldn't do it and just did it because thats the only way he could get an arrow to shoot.
Let me see if I can get the pictures up.I think you will really like them.

I don't know what I did wrong.I had them in order with captions.
The next to the last one he just shot with good form and release.I told him it would be easier and he could shot better 3rd & 4th is that shot(he' proud of that shot
2nd pic his groups are starting to tighten up.
All shots where at 15 yards.
He said "you don't shot any closer than this""if I get to shot with you I got to shot like you"
Yeah I'm a proud grandpa
Thanks guys these are memories my wife and I will cherish the rest of our life.

I wish I could have done a video.
After he shot for about 20 minutes You could just watch his right arm coming up higher and higher.
Thats exactly what the therapist was trying to do for a couple of years now and couldn't get it done.
The little guy is getting pretty good form and has a super release.

He does shoot well! Congratulations on a very good start to a long lifetime of slinging arrows. Life is so much better with good family and friends (like Dave) to share it with.

Like Jeff said, one good papaw! I would be very proud of a grandson like Christian, too!
