   This is a Wyoming Merriam I took yesterday.
The colors in the feathers I think are amazing.
The hunt is the trophy!

It's so weird that a bird with feathers like that has the ugliest head of any animal on the planet.

Yep, they are cool birds!

The coolest looking turkey on the planet is the ocellated turkey from Mexico. They look kinda like a turkey and a peacock got together!!!!!

  When these 2 birds crested the rise coming strutting in the early morning sun I was amazed by the colors. Almost lost concentration on what I was doing. I see why the hens lay down. :bigsmyl: Not saying I felt like that tho......
Changing from turquoise to bronze black and browns amazing.
I should have made one of those pelts guys do where they can hang them. I did save some of the small feathers to make some ear rings for my wife.
The hunt is the trophy!

They have beautiful plumage, but that head appears to be related to the buzzard.
