I was fortunate enough to be able to go to Timberghost Outfitters in Saskatchewan last week and harvest my first big game animal with trad gear! He came in on the first night, around 8:30 and I was able to make a perfect shot, even though my heart was beating out of my chest!
The bear ran about 100 yards into the bush, tracking was not too bad as I did not see him go down. It was a complete pass-through with my arrow, 600 grain total weight 340 spine Gold Tip with a 100 grain brass insert and a 200 grain grizzly single bevel.
