New to traditional
« on: May 19, 2021, 11:15:47 AM »
Well i sold my compound and going to try out traditional, been intrigued for some time with it. Ive shot a few traditional bows over the years and loved my fiberglass longbow when i was a kid, been shooting a compound for close to 20yrs and decided i wanted to go traditional. Got an Old Mountain Mesa 64" longbow and everything needed to get started. Bow is about 34lb @28" will be shooting Black Eagle Vintage arrows with brass inserts and will be playing with point weights and tuning more as i get my form down. Grouping pictures are my last group at 15yds during first shooting session with just a general ballpark setup on the bow with 175 points on arrows. Im looking forward to the journey ahead!

Fine Whitetails in your neck of the woods. You are starting at a choice time to get ready. My buddy has a Mesa and it’s a great stick for the money and handles well! Happy Hunting!

It’s a challenging and fun journey for sure! Best advise I could give is get you a coach or buy Tom clums online class! You’ll thank yourself later! Best of luck!

There ya go.  Jumped in with both feet and no safety net.  That's the way to ensure you'll make it!!! :archer2:
I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.

Your shooting looks like you're off to a great start.
Plus selling the contraption was smart so there is NO looking back.
