making a smooth draw

Hey all,

First I want to say thanks to those who have given their two cents on questions I've had in the past.  The advice has helped me make better shooting bows.

With that said, I've got a new question.

I've been making laminated longbow now for a while.  I order everything from Bingham projects.  For the most part I'm happy with the results, but I'm always looking to improve.  I recently shot a thunderstck longbow and noticed that it drew a lot smoother than mine.  It just seemed to shoot better.  After the initial frustration I've decided to try and figure out what I can do about this.Can anyone out there shed any light on this subject?

Also as a side topic.  I've been told that wiping the laminations down with acetone before I glue them is a good idea and Ive also been told that its a bad idea.  Any thoughts?
