Epoxies??
« on: May 26, 2021, 07:37:00 PM »
Okay who is epoxy smart here? Are all the resins the same on the slow and fast cures and have different gardeners?
I have some 3 to 1 hardened and some 2 to 1 resin left. Can I mix or not.

Can you be more specific? Like exactly what brands and which products?

You are very vague with your question. The basic answer will be 'no' unless you get more specific and answer Flem's questions. Brand, type, etc. are all crucial for this type of thing.

Here is what I just got. and have some of it left over. But also have quite a bit of the 3 to one mix hardener left over. Dont know if it can be used with the 2 to 1 stuff. My guess not worth the chance.

The slow hardener

You got US Composites epoxy there. If you were to go to their website, like I just did, you would find all the pertinent information listed. They make two resins and 4 different hardeners. You have the #635 thin resin and the #556, 2-1 slow hardener and yes they are compatible. So is the 3-1 medium hardener with the #635
You can use three of the hardeners with that resin.

Never ate the stuff, but I still like the aroma of an expensive, quality, aged glue. :saywhat:
