Pat, I didn't say one word about politics.  I was talking about the so called news, which is NOT the news I grew up with.   Again, I said nothing about politics.  I also didn't bash anyone, if so please give me their name. And the Olympics are not every 2 years, they are every 4 years.

Terry they're every two years, not every four. They alternate summer and winter every two years.

Maybe they need to have a series that will last for a certain amount of time on the history channel. A show like Alone doesnt necessarily have a hard set ending date, so maybe it ended quicker than they expected and they needed to skip a week in order to meet their required deadline? They might just use Mountain Men as a filler.

He said it best when reciting the poem at the end.
" we trade our life for money"  something like that anyways.  Not something I would want to do.

CONGRATULATIONS, Clay!!!!!  :clapper: :clapper: :clapper: :archer: :clapper: :clapper: :clapper:

Actually, I thought he was gonna win..... But, I found myself routing more and more for Biko...
No job, no real future plan, pregnant wife and TWINS on the way....
A man who would starve himself, pretty much living on onion soup, to give his family a half million dollar future,
pretty much has my vote!!!

Woodchucker, I agree 100% on Biko, but I really liked Coulter.
I had my whole family watching it and had picked Clay from day one. I was sending my family videos Clay had made to reinforce my decision. I hope the other players are paid something.

While I liked Biko’s character I think starvation kind of ruins these kind of games. If your plan is to go in and just have more fat than your opponent then why don’t we turn the biggest loser into alone. Overall I’m very glad that Clay won out.

I really don't think Biko's game plan was to "out starve" the others???

He was REALLY trying to find food, just bad luck finding it...
He was in a real windy spot, making casting difficult to catch fish, though he did catch a few!
His gill net while well made, was largely unsuccessful..... The dude tried to boil and eat PINE BARK!!

He did pack on pounds before, going in at 300+# but that was because it's common knowledge that EVERYONE in past season looses an enormous amount of weight. He had the mental strength to convince himself, that everything he was doing, and going through, was for his family.

He did and the contestants definitely lose weight. Gill net on a log and when it doesn’t work out it just further down? His building top notch. His food gathering? Eh just kinda gave up.

Pine just beneath the bark is eatable and I have eaten it. Better roast it than boil. I’m sorry Biko is a great guy and some of his skills are impressive. Shelter building etc. With his weakness from starvation he really wasn’t doing much in the food gathering other than onions. Very good but definitely didn’t deserve the win.

I really wonder how long some of these people would go if they were on an environment where they could actually thrive and the alone factor was the biggest thing they really dealt with.

Great job to Clay.   I enjoyed the season.
