WOW!!!!!  Having not walked a mile in their moccasins, I guess I choose not to be so critical and judgemental.  Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, has their breaking point and each person breaks differently under various circumstances.  I'm probably not as wise, nor as tough as y'all, but I'm wise enough to know that I'm as tough as I need to be.  I try to not envy those who are better nor criticize those who are not.

Anyway, sorry y'all won't be watching tomorrow night's episode.  The rest of us will have some wholesome viewing followed by some constructive conversation around the ole Trad Gang campfire.  We'll miss ya.

I watched it last night. Some things I find funny! Like the dread locked hippy dude the got his bow string chewed by a mouse.... Well, at least he knew how to splice it back together, he moved up a notch in my book :clapper:
Note... From back in my Marine Corp days, NEVER go ANYWHERE without your M-16 (bow)

Also, Why does everyone try and make a fishing pole??? :dunno:
I've seen kids catch more fish with line wrapped around a beer can! Well, maybe they have alot of spare time on their hands.....

Overall? I like it!!! Sure beats watching the news.....
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

There is a fine line between Hunting, & Sitting there looking Stupid...

May The Great Spirit Guide Your Arrows..... Happy Hunting!!!

Can't remember which episode it was. They dropped the guy off, he walked into the woods where he saw a fresh pile of bear poop. It scared him so bad he went back out to the beach and tapped out. Kinda reminded me of .....you know who
Desmond from season two. He lasted 6 hours and bragged in his intro video about the bear should be scared of him.

You never been to Portland? Olympia, Seattle, Tacoma, heck anywhere on I-5 corridor?

Pecka Gnats, Antifa’s, Earth Muffins guy. Ya know the drill. Mushroom growers.

I know a guy that got 50k tied up in a BC Stone Sheep hunt since 2019 and he paid a bunch already, The cunnuckistani’s could care less if he ever gets in BC.

I really think the show is about as real as OCC choppers was. Just my observation. Make no mistake. I made many many 19-22 day patrols and they were a SOB. Lucky to get thru em. So last man standing eating crickets is no small feat.

Your right i have lived in the hills of  West Virginia my whole 47 years, I can show you hollers where people still live without electricity and running water, but I have never seen anything like what I saw when I visited the coastal region of norcal and oregon. If you want to be amazed just stop in Garberville California sometime.

I get it that negativity and divisiveness seem to have become the new national dialogue. That said, there are members posting here who would be well served to consider where their own states place on lists that indicate quality of life. They might then be less inclined to pontificate about cherry picked sections of and alternative reality perceptions of other states.

Shawn, actually I never mentioned you but since you identify and posted "Still think a lone bat infected the globe Jim"?, you have hit the "alternative reality" nail on the head. I never said such to you!

I just wish all of the negativity about the show would stop.  Way too much skepticism and criticism in the world about just about everything.  For those who don't like the show, just don't watch it. Let the rest of us poor deceived folks enjoy it.

This thread needs to be axed moderators. Smag I won’t defend what anyone says, but I will let you know, Jim is perhaps the nicest person on the planet. I have shot with him and fished with him, let’s not judge people via the internet. This thread was supposed to be about one of our own. A trad member doing a TV show and has devolved into person attacks of people and their opinions. As a youngster here, I’m disappointed in this thread. This is a great opportunity to revive our sport, which less and less youngsters are picking up everyday. Watch the show or don’t. Real or fake I do not care. Let’s support clay and drop this stupid internet fighting. Politics has no place here. This is about trad bow hunting and trad bow hunting only. I now see the brilliance in Terry’s decision to make it so.

Furthermore, we each have a circle of influence (things we can change) and a circle of concern (this we are aware of but cannot change). We would do well do worry about the circle of influence. As for me, I’m going to shoot my bow.

If you dont care why opine here.

Jim may be what you say. My saved pm’s would seem to indicate i blind spot for the obvious.

Im guessing you a cancel culture fella. Just axe opinion other than what you like. Sound familiar.

I made my opinion of Alone. Speaks for what it is. Reality TV , nothing more. I know Clay and met him here in Tenn. Have nothing but love for all the players.

So, why chunk the thread? Make a counter point or just pass the thread on. Jimi jumped on here not about Alone but rather national social justice pointers for the casual bowhunting TGer. Fine but this is a bowhunter site.

HH~
Politics does not belong here period. It’s one of the few places I get to go that’s not political in nature. Also you’re correct as a bow hunter, police officer, married with kids, I sure am cancel culture incarnate. I opine because I simply would just like to visit a place that’s respectful and talks about relevant topics. For instance this thread is for alone, says so in the title.

Not surprising that they could get into a country, bypassing quarantine and travel restrictions. There were and are multiple examples out there of those with money/power (Hollywood, business, politicians, elites) getting to play by a different set of rules….before, during and after COVID.

Shawn, since you've accused me of being less than honest I'll respond. A while back you were posting about events not needing to be canceled because of health concerns with Covid-19. We exchanged 2 or 3 emails and I asked where you were getting your information about Covid-19. You responded that if i contacted you again about anything other than bows you knew Terry and you would tell him. It came across like a school kid threatening to tell the teacher something. The last PM between us was my reply.

This thread started out as one to cheer on Clay Hayes as he competes on this show. In that light, who needs to care about all the Covid debate? Talk politics on a political forum. Talk traditional archery related stuff on this one. Just my opinion, but I bet I'm not the only one that feels that way.
