My fall setup is a Sunset Hill longbow. 66”. 54@27”.  65/70 POC shafts.  Howard Hill broadheads.  I hope to sneak out tomorrow for the PA squirrel opener to test it out.

Well that just got easier. My other Northen Mist came in yesterday that I ordered last year. so just setting it up but this will be going. It’s a twin to my other so shouldn’t need much other than breaking in strings.

I'll be hunting with this new to me, birth year '72, 50# Bear Grizzly this season. I won this bow on the big site a few weeks ago and did a sand down and refinish on it spraying it in satin. I think it turned out ok for an amateur with only a few refinishes under his belt.

I put a new B50 string on it a good friend made for me, a new rug rest and strike plate, another good friend gifted me the vintage spring arm quiver it's wearing and my good friend and neighbor Frank ,kopfjaeger here, gifted me the cedar arrows and quiver adaptor. My cedars are tipped with 190 grain Tuffhead Meatheads.

I've been shooting the bow religiously, daily since the refinish and am very comfortable and confident with it out to my self-imposed 20 yard max hunting shot.

Great looking bows all and I hope you all have a safe and memorable season!    :archer:

Beautiful bow. I shot a 72 tiger cat for years. Gave it to my little bro for his start. Looks like 72 was a great year for bear.

Well.... I FINALLY made my decission!!! :readit:

Always the "superstitious" one, and never one to deviate from the "norm".....

I've decided to use my new Bear "mag handle" T/D this year!!!!! :archer:
Number 1, 42# limbs, (56" bow) wearing a new Bear/Selway "Grayling Green" bow quiver.
Cedar arrows my son Tyler makes for me 45-50# cut 29" BOP and tipped with old green Bear Razorheads.

HOPEFULLY, this new bow, is a Lucky One!!!??
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

There is a fine line between Hunting, & Sitting there looking Stupid...

May The Great Spirit Guide Your Arrows..... Happy Hunting!!!

I hope to get it done with this one. A 1957 Bear Kodiak, 64", 47# at my draw length. I made the strings and painted the PO cedar arrows.
This will be my second year going at it with a recurve, I didn't get a shot on any last year though I did see some, just not close enough.
