Checking trail cams can be exciting
« on: June 30, 2021, 10:52:34 PM »
Yesterday, I hiked in to check on some trail cams I have out for bear. I’ve been getting a lot of pics and video of different bears in the area but yesterday, this guy came right at me:

This was when he was at 20 yards. Knew I was there. Didn’t care. I had to talk to him for a bit before he decided to back down and he ran off.

That is cool.  Is it mating season for the cats?  I thought they are usually alone, but not sure on that.

Not many bears here but don’t most bolt at the sight of humans? They seam so skittish at bait sites.

For me, bears sometimes make me a little nervous. Often in my experience, they just don't care that you are there, and as a result, they don't always react to human presence like most other game animals.
