I use a two-part marine epoxy. Works great for those deep pore, wide grained hardwoods. I go with the fast hardener about every 45 minutes I can put on another coat. Only mix up as much as you can get on one time because it won't be any good later it's easy enough I mix it up in plastic pill/shot glasses. You measure it by volume not by weight. If you go by weight you'll run into too much or too little. I will usually put on 5 coats on woods like Wenge, Zebrawood. I don't sand it until they're all on there. That way I don't end up with white powder down in the bottom of some of the deeper pores. I'll see if I can get a picture of it when I get home. Works great another fellow bowyer suggested it to me.
