As I posted earlier I struck a deal with a gentleman for my old Black Widow PLIII. Payment was received and the bow shipped from California on Tuesday, July 6 with delivery scheduled for Tuesday July 13th. Tracking showed "In transit" and scheduled to arrive on time...until July 12! Tracking on July 12 showed that it was delayed, but still on it's way. Tracking has not been updated since July 12, just shows the same info.
I have never had an issue with packages from the USPS in the past and am still hopeful it will arrive intact. I do realize that a lot of folks are still relying on the mail for their purchases and I am probably being impatient. I just really want my bow back and intact.

Probably worth a visit to the Post Office.  They can get more information on their computer than you can on yours.  The USPS has been having some problems, as you probably know, but most things still arrive after a while.  I ordered a kitchen knife a few months ago that didn't arrive for weeks, and I finally thought I had been scammed.  It wasn't much money, but I still felt foolish.  The knife company replied to all my inquiries, and assured me that it had been sent.  Sure enough, it finally showed up weeks late, but in good condition.  Good luck with your bow!

Been there couple times with bows last year or so.  They did show week-week and half late.  It'll show but its definately not a good feeling.
The first one that was late I started inquiry on line.  Two days later my local post office called and said they had it so I went and picked it up at counter...didnt want to chance it getting on another truck  :)

Best of luck and enjoy it when it arrives

Thanks for the encouragement gentlemen. I will go to the post office and see if they can give me any more info. All I get with the tracking number here at home is that the bow is somewhere...just doesn't tell me where somewhere is!

Heres what i have done with success. Call your local post office and have them do a search with the tracking. They will find the last place it sat and call the postmaster. Then the postmaster wi ll walk out in the warehouse and look for it. you can also start a claim on the USPS website. I have done this three or four times.  Waited a month for a bow around Xmas

I just made a trade here last month and the bow I traded for took a month to arrive even though it was shipped priority.
My USPS office told me, oversized packages are being shipped ground even though you pay for priority and they sit at a transfer station in a truck until the truck is filled before making the final leg to you.
I wouldn't of believed it until it happened to me. I'm still ticked off about it and it has left a bad taste in my mouth for several reasons.
Good luck and I hope your bow gets to you as you expect it.

That's why I go pick up my Primal Techs.  Our USPS delivery stinks.
I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.

Shipping prices are very high, with USPS  being g cheaper than UPS.  But their tracking info in minimal.
We are holding a good thought for you.

I’m hoping it doesn’t say it’s in Memphis. Don’t know what goes on there, but it’s not efficient shipping, I can tell you that!  :knothead:

Hopefully things are getting better, I shipped a bow form to MI last Friday by USPS and it arrived yesterday!!

My postmaster lady can make stuff happen when I turn a missing package tracking number over to her! Only had to do it a couple times, but she rocks!!
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Went to the main post office today and they weren't very helpful. They told me to get online and fill out a form, but the only form that I found is supposed to be filled out by the person who shipped the bow. Stopped by my local post office and the lady went out of her way to help me out. It appears that the bow is still in California and she couldn't confirm that it had ever left the post office where it was originally dropped off. I contacted the seller and he has filled out the form and tomorrow he is going to the post office that he shipped the bow from. Maybe by tomorrow evening I will at least know where the bow really is. The saga continues...

The same thing happened with the knife I ordered. Post Office tracking indicated that the knife was sitting at the point of origination for weeks.  In fact, the day I finally got it, tracking still showed it as sitting at the point of origination until that was changed to “delivered.”

I waited 2 weeks,3 weeks and 6 weeks for bows I bought last December.Thier were no updates.

I did get all the bows delivered eventually.I also shipped a few that took like 2-3 weeks.

Recently I have had them arrive in a more timely fashion

An uptick in Covid could be some of the problem possibly as it was when I was shipping and buying bows months ago.Not sure though.Postal service said Covid had been one of the problems when I had the really slow deliveries 6-7 months ago.

More than likely you will get it.Be patient and don't panic yet.

This happened toewith a bow before the pandemic. Post office said they never received it so the seller went there and allegedly jumped in the middle of their stuff. I finally got it.

I had an issue with a riser I sent to Loc Do to convert. Tracking said it was undeliverable. So I contacted him. I used the correct address. So, I have the USPS as a fav, looking on thier website I found a number to call. Got a nice lady on the phone. I asked her why if the package was undeliverable wasn’t it sent back to me? Especially since it was Priority Mail. She said I don’t know but will find out. Next day that local PO called and told me package was delivered. It’s what mother said many a time, “ you got to raise hell with the right people to get it done”.
Hopefully you pulled the right strings and get your bow soon.

This morning at 7:27 I received a text saying my bow would be delivered today between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm. As of last night all the info I'd received showed that the bow was still in California. A couple of my friends came over to shoot this morning and we were taking a coffee break when the USPS van pulled down the drive. My mail lady got out grinning from ear to ear. She said once she saw a long box with my name on it she came straight to the house. I unboxed it and strung it up and gave her a proper welcome home! So ends the saga of my wayward bow!

Awesome! I think from now on I’ll be sending bows and anything important UPS…the extra few bucks is a small price to pay for peace of mind!
