I use True Oil exclusively now, I found out if you put it on sparingly, talking a drop on a T shirt rag and rub it in with a finger and just add enough with out over saturating, it will dry within 4 hours and you can apply again, yes high humidity will take a little longer. I can often get 4 coats in 1 day. It looks like not much happening until after 5 coats and then it starts to look like glass with additional coats, I usually do 8 coats takes about 5 min. a coat, totally done in a couple days. I use a latex finger tip protector under rag to apply, there is no strong bad smell and no big clean up, I can do it in the house and yes I do apply it to the glass maybe 2 or 3 light coats after using 400 grit to just get the shine off. Applying it this way gets it into the pours deeply and really enhances the grain, even scratches unless very deep won't mess with moisture penetration. If you try to rush it, over saturate it, it will take longer to dry and you will have to sand between coats. I rarely sand between coats unless I sometimes apply a little to much. Plenty of ways to dull the finish if you want I don't. Been doing it this way for years. JMHO
