Walt, a moose hunt is a lot of work for a group of hunters with an atv to help haul it onto solid ground. It would take serious grit to do it by yourself. We hunt over or near swamps/ lakes and that’s where they like to go when they’re hit.
Congratulations on a very nice bull!

Even as a young man I doubt I could have accomplished what you managed to do, Sir. Congrats on a fine moose and adventure.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

excellent story and adventure!
one question, how did you deal with the grizzly's, with the moving around of all the meat sacks etc.
thanks for the inspiration.
cheers

Congratulations, Walt. Nice bull and with a selfbow no less. Well done!

Thanks Pat.

You're a tough cookie Walt.  Thanks for sharing.  A job well done.  Congrats.

Jerry,

My wife thinks I’m just not smart enough to not do these hunts……my knees say she may be right…..But I’ll keep doing it until I am no longer able to.

Mark,

I look forward to sharing a table with you.  Might need two seats though as my wife says she is going to PBS to keep from committing to too many hunts. :biglaugh:
