Ceramic Sandpaper

Not sure if anyone has tried ceramic sandpaper, but you may want to consider it.  I just finished smoothing a rough sawn cottonwood slab that's ~20 sq ft with one DA disk.  When I was finished it still looked brand new and felt almost as sharp as a new disk.  Interesting stuff.

Been using Cubitron belts for years. I agree they are good, don't know that I can state they are better than Zirconia.
Definitely more spendy. Have to point out, that Cottonwood was not much of a test piece for one of the hardest man made materials!

Yeah it's a soft piece for sure, just surprised it hardly took any wear at all. The only real indication it was used was the sawdust stuck in the Velcro on the back.
