How do you guys do your limb tips on trilams and bamboo back bows. I believe I seen somebody sand on an angle through the bamboo and glue an overlay on.

Same way but not through all layers, only bamboo and core, perhapps a bit belly also.

Just like mad max but I don't file the sides, only the horn overlay and I don't file all the way through the horn.

I assume I could use Osage as a tip overlay with no problems. I guess it’s better to ask now then find out the hard way!

Someone sent me 64" boo so I had to extend the other 2 lams to get 64" nocks

This is on a maple board bow, but similar to Mad Max's. It is a great way to capture and close off the end grain of the limbs. You don't have to cut across all the layers if you don't want to.
