Well I'm a one bow guy.
I only hunt with one bow at a time.  :bigsmyl:
But then I have to listen to the rest of them winning because they didn't get to go.

I had actually intended on using my new Mag-handle T/D this year....

If any of ya read my "Blast from the past" thread, I have taken it out 4 times this year. I didn't see a single deer, and I missed 3 squirrels with it. When I ordered the Brush Buttons from 3Rivers, I put a pair on my 2015 T/D and took it out back to shoot it. I haven't shot this bow at all this year. Every shot was in the "kill zone" of my deer target.

It just seems to be the "1 bow" that says "pick me!!!"  :archer2:

My wife and I own several bows each, but I've only hunted and shot 3-D with one of them.  My wife gave me a Bob Lee Signature recurve back in 1997.  It's 62 inches, and 66 pounds.  I've killed a few animals with it, most notably a South African Gemsbok.  When we were looking at pictures of available game on this trip, she chose the gemsbok as the one she wanted me to bring her.  So, luckily, I did.
I've never shot anything but wood arrows out of it, and they perform very well.  I've only used Grizzly broadheads, from 125 to 190 grain.  All do what they're supposed to do.  I enjoy playing around with different combos.

I have several dozen bows, shoot all of them off and on when practicing.  Have Hunted with the same selfbow, Pigger, from 2006-2020.  Retired Pigger after last season, she has taken deer, mountain lion, bison, and a moose. Replaced her with a new selfbow that earned the name Hooligan after she took a moose on her first hunt.  Time will tell, she may be a keeper.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

That's what I'm talking about Walt!!!  :archer:

Most of us have numerous bows that we own and shoot. Lord knows I can't walk away from an old Bear recurve at a yard sale or flea market. It's fun shooting different bows!!! Each has their own personality.

But, isn't there just that "one bow" that just seems to "fit" like it's a part of you??
The "one bow" that seems like it's magical... You pick it up, and walk into the woods, and you just feel "lucky"??
Like nothing can go wrong.... The bow you've carried on many hunts, and killed much game with...
The bow you just can't imagine leaving home without.... THAT bow!!

Yep, but I'm darn sure not a one arrow man!

I shoot a Sarrels Sierra longbow for everything.  I technically have two.  One is a one piece and the other is a two piece but they are the same length and weight.  Honestly I see no reason for another.

My one bow now is my Black Widow SAIII 62”, 53lbs @28”

It used to be my Super Shrew Delux 58”, 60lbs @ 28”
With my tendonitis in my left elbow and my torn bi-cep in my right shoulder the 60lbs Shrew is too much so it’s collecting dust.

Your right woodchucker but #1 is getting a little heavy. Might have to let her go.

I started with just the one. Saw a Custom I really loved and ordered one, sold the first one. Told myself "the custom is the ONLY one I will ever need". Company went out of business so I couldn't get any limbs for it, Oh well. Started learning about other bows and saw a few I REALLY liked! Started finding some of them for sale at a time when I could afford them so, OK. Started gaining a collection enough to need a wall rack, then my bro-in-law's Dad passed away and left him a few bows BIL did not want. He knows I like them so PRESTO! I come home to find home with the bows in his car for me! Hello second wall rack!

So yes, I WAS a one-bow guy once. A long time ago.

I use to say that I had one wife, but a hundred bows. I really did have a lot of bows. From the time I enlisted in the service in 1961, until the kids were near grown in the 1990s, I had not picked up a bow. One day, at the local flea market, I saw a recurve, and picked it up. That was the spark that brought me back. For several years I bought every decent recurve or longbow that I encountered at yard sales, flea market, or wherever. Looking back I believe my behavior could be explained as a futile attempt to catch up on all the bows that had come along during the time when I was trying to be a good husband and father. Now, at almost 78 years of age, I haven't made a dent in shooting all of the bows made then and now..., but I can s :deadhorse: :archer2:till try.

Was a one bow shooter, a Lost Creek NAT, but an injury forced me to a get a recurve a few pounds lighter. My goal is to get back to the NAT.
